Cleaning With Mother Nature

Learn how to make your own safe, nontoxic, effective alternatives to commercial cleaning products by combining herbs and essential oils with other natural ingredients (baking soda, vinegar, lemon juice). You will make an appliance degreaser, a pine disinfectant spray and go home with recipes to try in your own home!

$5 charge to cover supplies

The Friends' Annual used-booksale
will be held during Upton's Heritage Weekend
Saturday & Sunday, September 22-23, 2007
9:00am-1:00pm
both days, on the lawn of the Upton Town Library.

Gently-used books and movies will be for sale, and there's always something for everyone! There will also be a bake sale and face painting table at this year's event.

~Donations of gently-used books and movies are now being accepted at the library~

I am sooooo excited about the New Friends of the Upton Town Library Newsletter! I just got a sneak peek at it, and it is AWESOME! It will be going to the printers next week, and then hopefully into your mailbox the following week! A HUGE THANK YOU goes to Linda Kirstein, Judy McGee, Diane Dunster and the FULTI Board (Erin, Laura, Chris & Holly) for all of their hard work! (You'll see what I mean when you get your copy!) And if you do not receive a copy in the mail by the end of the month, there will be some extras available at the circulation desk in the Library.

Our monthly meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, beginning at 7pm, in the Library. Our next meeting, however, has been re-scheduled for April 30, instead of May 7, in anticipation of Upton's Annual Town Meeting, on May 8. PLEASE plan to attend!!

Help the Friends support the Museum Pass Program at the Library! Be sure to notice the BookShelves in the entryway to the Library building. All the items on the shelves are donated, and are FOR SALE! Hardcover books and DVD's are $2, softcover books and VHS tapes are $1 and all children's books are 2/$1! This fundraising effort, along with the ever-popular ANNUAL FALL BOOK SALE, supports the Library's Museum Pass Program.
